Description: "Regulated Watersheds" is a geographical digital representation of the protected water supply watersheds in Forsyth County, NC, as established by the NC Environmental Management Commission. The purpose of the regulations is to protect drinking water quality in water supply watersheds and to meet or exceed the minimum regulations established by the NC Environmental Management Commission under the provisions of the Water Supply Watershed Protection Act of 1989. The Salem Lake regulated watershed ordinance became effective by the City of Winston-Salem Board of Aldermen 7/1/1993. The Forsyth County Watershed Ordinance was adopted by the Forsyth County Commissioners in 1/1/1994,
