Description: The centerline file has roads that are existing and unbuilt. The road status field contains this information. This layer also has road that extend past the Forsyth County boundary. The field CITYL and CITYR will have the county that the road is in if the road is not in Forsyth County. If the road is in Forsyth County the CITYL and CITYR field will be the zip code city name. The Left and Right Jurisdiction field contain the municipality name that the road is inside. The ranges used in the centerline file are used to assign new addresses. The centerline layer as has elevation and one way travel. This layer is maintained daily by MapForsyth. Important fields in Centerlines Status- If the road is existing or unbuilt. Pre- the pre direction for the name. Values will only be North, South, East, or WestRoad Name- This is just the road name, not the type, or pre direction. Street Type- This is only the type of street. Example: Lane, Street, Road Complete street name- This is pre, road name and street type all together. Traffic From and Traffic To- Control one way traffic. The direction that the street is drawn is important. From Elevation and To Elevation – This field contains the values need to route when two roads intersect but are at different elevations. Example: Bridges over highways would have a different value than the road that they are passing over. Actual Left right start end- These are the address numbers assigned on the left and right side or the road. Potential Left Right Start End- These are the possible values for each side of the road. Left Right Jurisdiction- This field is the municipality that the segment is inside of. Left Right Zip Code- numeric value for the zip codes. Left right City- the zip codes city name
